Ducted Heat Pumps
Ducted systems are a great way to heat or cool your home efficiently. These systems distribute air through a network of ducts installed in the ceiling or floor cavities, with the air entering your home through discreet vents. This means you don't need to worry about taking up any floor or wall space with bulky units.
One of the best features of ducted systems is the ability to divide your home into zones. This typically corresponds to individual rooms, and you can control each zone separately. It’s a smart and convenient way to manage your home's temperature, and we’re experts at installing them and helping you make informed decisions.
Advantages of Ducted Heatpumps
-
Modern heat pumps provide up to 400% energy gains, producing $4 of heat for every $1 spent.
-
Individual room temperatures can be controlled, allowing heat to be directed only to the areas that need it.
-
Digital thermostats make temperature adjustments easy and offer fully programmable options for automatic temperature changes. Many systems offer smartphone app control for added convenience.
-
Our ducted systems operate quietly and are virtually invisble in the home, requiring no wall or floor space.
-
Optional air filtering is available, benefiting asthma and allergy sufferers.
-
Ducted systems can be installed in both existing and new homes, making them ideal for renovations.
Ventilation
A properly ventilated home is a healthier home. Home ventilation helps reduce moisture, dampness and condensation preventing the growth of dangerous moulds and results in a dryer more comfortable living environment. Heat recovery ventilation combines air ventilation with heat retention. It’s like opening a window for fresh air but without the accompanying loss of heat.
There are two types of Heat Recovery Ventilation systems:
Balanced pressure systems replace warm, stale air with fresh outdoor air, retaining up to 95% of the heat. They remove moisture, improve air quality, and reduce heating needs. Filters can remove pollen and carbon, benefiting allergy sufferers.
Positive pressure systems push heated air from the ceiling space into the house, with air escaping through gaps around doors and windows.
Advantages of Proper Ventilation
-
Fresh, dry air replaces moist air, reducing dampness, condensation, and mold growth. Filters remove allergens such as pollen and excess carbon.
-
Dryer air requries less energy to heat.
-
Heat pumps filter and deodorize the air, helping asthma and allergy sufferers by removing airborne particles.
-
Requires periodic filter cleaning, which can be done by the homeowner or during routine servicing.
-
System is easy to operate with automatic programming and is nearly silent in operation.
